PRESIDENT of the Public Services Association Watson Duke says he will be resigning his post to fight the next general elections in Trinidad and Tobago due next year.

At a press conference at the PSA’s head office in Port-of-Spain on Monday, Duke said, “I will not be running for seats in Tobago alone.

“I have done my homework and we recognise there are many people who are vex.

“We will create seats in these areas and we will be waiting for those who want to cast a vex vote.”

Duke is the leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) which holds two seats in the Tobago House of Assembly where Duke is the Minority Leader.

He said more will be revealed at the launch of the PDP’s election campaign at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort in Tobago on October 7.

Duke is currently on bail on sedition, rape and sexual offences charges.
