MERE minutes after a two-week registration was concluded, National Security Minister Stuart Young said from Monday Venezuelans will now have to apply for Visas to enter Trinidad and Tobago.

He made this announcement at a press conference at his office on Abercromby Street in Port-of-Spain, a short while ago.

Young said Venezuelans will have to go to the Trinidad and Tobago Embassy in Caracas to make their visa applications.

He said more than 15,000 Venezuelans have registered in the three centers and will give the exact figure subsequently.

The registration process began on May 31 and ended at 5 p.m. on June 14. The amnesty gave all Venezuelans, whether in the country legally or illegally, the comfort to stay and work in Trinidad and Tobago for a year.
