TT Records its 11th Covid-19 Death

ANOTHER person has died from Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.

The latest victim is an elderly male with pre-existing conditions, the Ministry of Health stated in its Sunday morning Covis-19 update.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 deaths in TT to 11.

The release noted that there were now 368 active cases with 140 patients having been discharged.

It stated that 13,494 samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency and the University of the West Indies testing site.

The release stated that 11,844 people have been tested with 1,650 having been tested more than once.

It noted that 519 samples have been tested positive at public and private facilities in TT.

According to the release there were 115 patients in hospital with 65 en route and 45 new ones being processed for admission.

There were 68 patients at the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility with three intensive care and one in the high dependency unit.

At the Caura Hospital there were 47 patients.

The release stated that 143 positive patients were in stepdown or transition facilities – 19 at the Brooklyn Facility in Sangre Grande, 31 at Balandra, 40 at Tarcarigua and 53 at Debe.
