Team Announced to Provide Roadmap Post-Covid-19 for TT

PRIME Minister Dr Keith Rowley will lead a team that will put together a roadmap for recovery for Trinidad and Tobago after Covid-19.

He announced the team at a post-Cabinet news conference at the Diplomatic Centre on Thursday.

The team comprises 22 members including the prime minister and will have two vice-chairmen in Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte and Unit Trust Corporation chairman Gerry Brooks.

  • Former finance minister and economist Wendell Mottley
  • UWI Chancellor Robert Bermudez
  • Frist Citizens CEO Karen Darbasie
  • Former government minister and Central Bank governor Winston Dookeran
  • Businessman Christian Mouttet
  • Businessman Shawn Roach
  • EYC Executive Chairman Colin Soo Ping Chow
  • Caribbean Airlines Chairman and businessman Ronnie Mohammed
  • BHP Trinidad President Vincent Pereira
  • Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Finance Vishnu Dhanpaul
  • Permanent secretary in Ministry of Finance Alison Lewis
  • Economist Gregory McGuire
  • Professor Karl Theodore
  • Selwyn Hazel
  • Christopher Henry
  • Trade unionist Michael Annisette
  • Tobago businessman Allum Warner, and
  • Public representative Rondell Fields

Rowley said the team will work alongside the Government and he too will work with then to decide on a roadmap post Covid-19.

He said he expected the first draft by the end of May.
